Modutec successfully completes turnkey accommodation refurbishment in West Africa for one of the Côte d’Ivoire’s leading gas producers. The project commenced offshore, October 2019 and was finalised in January 2020.
Project management, engineering, procurement and construction was achieved by bringing together our skilled multi-discipline teams from the UK and the Middle East, combined with French speaking nationals to deliver this critical project for the region.
The platform located in in the Guinea Gulf provides over 50% of gas produced in block CI-27 which is transported via pipeline to fuel power stations in Abidjan, helping to safeguard 70% of the entire country’s power supply.
The living quarters revamping increased the POB and living spaces on the platform including new accommodation, galley and mess, locker room and office-meeting rooms, which consisted of the following work packages:
Deconstruct – Existing living quarters and form structural penetrations
Architectural Solutions – Insulation, panels, flooring, ceilings, full wet rooms, A60 and B15 doors, windows and hatches
Furniture – Supply and manufacture of furniture for living quarters rooms, including bunk beds, desks, chairs, sofas and TVs, galley equipment, lockers & soft furnishings including curtains and blinds.
HVAC Solutions – HVAC, ducting and electrical tie in, supply and installation of refrigeration systems for cold rooms including exhausts and ducting, supply and installation of dampers.
Electrical & Instrumentation Solutions – Power distribution, lighting systems, PA/GA, fire & gas and data communications.
Piping & Plumbing Solutions – Hot/cold, salt water & drainage pipework
