Modutec are excited to announce a major contract win to support an offshore wind project in Taiwan. The contract will see Modutec provide a 48-person hired accommodation package to a leading offshore shipping company, for a 2-year duration at sea.
The contract includes the provision of specialist accommodation modules along with auxiliary equipment such as water treatment systems, electrical distribution panels and recreation facilities.
Brian Knowles, Modutec Managing Director heralded the contract win as a significant milestone for the company:
“We are delighted to have landed this opportunity during a very difficult work climate globally. We have a serious ambition to develop and expand our business into new territories and markets worldwide. A renewable energy project in Taiwan is certainly a positive step forward and reflects the technical offering we can boast from our Aberdeen office.
The customer required a temporary accommodation solution for their offshore vessel, and we believe they chose Modutec for the depth of engineering and the end to end solution we could provide. The contract included the initial design of the package as well as its integration to the vessels existing systems, such as fire detection and safety systems, power and water. Modutec will also mobilise teams to complete the hook-up and commissioning on board the vessel including the management of class approvals.”
